Famous for being the city’s smallest pub, the St Radegund is only 770 sqft and is in a prominent location on King Street, close to Midsummer Common, Jesus Green and Christ’s Pieces.

Whilst the pub trade has had an extremely challenging few months, there is clearly still confidence that the market will bounce back for city centre pubs, bars and restaurants. The St Radegund is one of Cambridge’s most iconic pubs and the new tenant, Coldchain Bars Ltd, intends to refurbish the building and reopen it early next year.”

We wish to make The Rad a comfortable, welcoming and inclusive space to be for everyone in our diverse Cambridge community. Steve and Yvan have a longstanding connection with the city and especially it's beer scene, and despite the restrictions placed upon us by the current Coronavirus issues we look forward to welcoming friends new and old to visit us or to take advantage of our take-out and home delivery services or maybe book a tasting in the Cellar Room with our range of mixed fermentation beers and wines. The building is in need of renovation but offers a ground floor and basement with a bar and WC.
Cambridge United Charities is a well-known local institution which carries out philanthropic work with the provision of almshouse accommodation, relief of poverty and the education of the young. The charity is run by volunteers from Cambridge and the surrounding area.
The St Radegund pub is named after St Radegund, a Frankish saint associated with nearby Jesus College. The pub became famous for its ‘Vera Lynn Appreciation Society’ night where it sold large gin and tonics with a background of Vera Lynn music. It was also the start and finish location for the famous King Street Run.
