A Chinese famille verte porcelain ginger jar and cover, Qing Dynasty, 19th century,

painted with two shaped rectangular panels, one with bamboo, foliage and a butterfly, the opposing side with a scholar, objects and feathers in a vase, supported by four smaller shaped panels painted with a carp and foliage, reserved on a powder blue ground
27cm high



Firing fault to the underside of the cover. Fabric has been glued to the footrim. Slight discolouration in places.
