Katie joined the Cheffins Rural Department in 2017, having previously spent over 20 years as a farm conservation adviser in the East region with bodies including Natural England and FWAG.

At Cheffins, Katie delivers farm business advice to a wide range of landowner and farmer clients. She has experience in successfully securing rural grants with the more significant projects spanning building conversions to holiday lets, farm reservoirs and irrigation systems, potato stores and grain store equipment, to name a few.

Katie also provides advice for smaller grant schemes for farm equipment and infrastructure, including CS Capital Grants and the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF).

A particular specialism for Katie is her expertise in environmental schemes in their various iterations, including the most recent Environmental Land Management (ELM) schemes and Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI).

Katie also delivers advice on contract farming agreements, cropping licences, LEAF Marque, landowner submissions under Section 31(6) of the Highways Act 1980 and more recently has taken a key role for Cheffins in providing Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) services.

Katie is a Member of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants (BIAC).
