Brett has acquired over 20 years' experience in the antiques and auction world, after graduating from Southampton University with a First-Class degree in Fine Art Valuation.

He started his career at Neales in Nottingham where, as well as being a general valuer, was head of ceramics and handled some prestigious sales, such as the Anthony Hoyte collection and the Kedleston Hall attic sale.

Brett later joined Bonhams in Bond Street and worked in the valuations department. As well as handling some high value sales, he conducted numerous important valuations, such as 10 Downing Street and various embassies throughout Europe.

Brett joined Cheffins in 2016 as general valuer and auctioneer and in 2019 became head of Modern Paintings.
