Cheffins is delighted to announce a series of promotions within the firm with six members of staff being recognised in this year’s Summer’s Honours List, effective from 1st July.

Katie Hilton, Helen Pettit, and Joe Page have all been promoted to Departmental Director; Dan Driver has been promoted to Associate; Angie German will become Assistant Lettings Manager while Hayley Truesdale has been promoted to Senior Lettings Consultant.

Katie Hilton joined the firm in 2017 and works within the Rural team based in the Cambridge office. Katie provides Farm Consultancy advice to landowners, farmers and rural business with a particular emphasis on rural subsidies and capital grant funding. She has extensive experience in advising on environmental schemes and projects and her expertise in this sector will become increasingly important as the government role out the new Agricultural Transition Plan over the next few years, which will have a greater focus on delivering environmental benefits through rural funding. Katie will play a lead role within the Cheffins Rural team to ensure that our clients receive up to date advice and support on the new rural funding policies.      

Helen Pettit has worked for Cheffins for over five years starting as a Property Manager in 2015 and working her way up to the position of Lettings Manager in 2019. Helen has an extensive knowledge of the lettings industry and, prior to joining Cheffins, worked for a lettings company as a trainer. Helen will focus on training new staff as well as assisting Head of Lettings, Sarah Bush, with the running of the department.

Joe Page has been working in the Machinery department since joining the firm in 2011. Rising through the ranks since joining the firm, Joe has been an integral part of the team responsible for hosting our monthly machinery sales, the biggest auction of its kind in Europe. With the retirement of Bill Pepper from the firm, Joe will now have a signficant role within the senior team at Sutton working closely with Bill King and Oliver Godfrey. 

Dan Driver joined the Ely office in 2019 and since then he has demonstrated an exceptional ability to negotiate sales and get them over the line, even in the most difficult of circumstances. Many of our clients in Ely will know Dan for his tenacious and calm approach when helping buyers and sellers. 

Angie German has worked for Cheffins since April 2016 and has significant lettings industry experience. She has a specialist knowledge of HMO’s (houses of multiple occupancy) and new builds which is invaluable. Angie will assist Helen Pettit and Sarah Bush with the running of the Cambridge Lettings Department. 

Hayley has worked for the firm as a Lettings Consultant for five years after joining us in 2016. She is the first point of contact for clients looking for a property to rent. Hayley has excellent knowledge of the Cambridge rental market and the types of housing available. 

All of these promotions are in recognition of the knowledge, commitment and hard work demonstrated by Katie, Helen, Joe, Dan, Angie and Hayley.
