Paint Out Cambridge, the city’s first plein air painting competition will kick off on the 13th May. Paint Out week will encompass three days and three nights for local artists to paint some of Cambridge’s most iconic scenes including colleges, chapels, bridges, the River Cam the market square and more. This will be followed by a Private View, judging and prize-giving at Cheffins salerooms on Clifton Road on Thursday 16th May from 6pm – 8.30pm, followed by a general exhibition on Friday 17th May from 9am – 2pm. Over 30 artists have signed up to the competition so far and the event organisers are encouraging as many to take part as possible.
