A recent interview with Cheffins Director, Ian Kitson, demonstrates that the best properties in the most desirable locations are selling above guide prices, with competition for premium lots underpinning prices.
The 13th March property auction at Cheffins' headquarters on Clifton Road saw stellar results achieved for central Cambridge properties, with prices far exceeding guides.
The recent decline in interest rates, albeit marginal, has buoyed property speculators with confidence that interest rates will continue to drop and this has imbued the market with a certain confidence in long term prospects and the risk factor.
Ian explains that property auctions are becoming increasingly popular with private treaty vendors keen to avoid lengthy conveyancing times and those buyers who are attracted by the transparency of selling at auction.
Cheffins next property auction is on 12th June, entries close 10th May. Click here to find out more.
