Cheffins, which conducts one of the largest monthly auction sales of tractors and agricultural machinery in the world, saw another successful auction on Monday 6th March, taking the total for the quarter to £11.2 million.
Highlights from the sale included £119,000 paid for a 2015 Case Quadtrac 580; £95,500 for a 2017 JCB 4220 Silver Jubilee which was consigned directly from a local farm; £73,500 for a 2009 John Deere 8430; £58,200 for a 2017 Fendt 716 loader and £55,000 for a 2016 John Deere 6195R.
Many of the sales were to overseas buyers, with purchasers in attendance from throughout Europe, the Middle East and northern Africa. In addition, the sale saw a strong contingent of farmer and contractor buyers, all looking to purchase quality second hand machinery.
