As part of Cheffins’ 200th anniversary celebrations, a team of nine members of staff ran the Cambridge Half Marathon, raising a total of £21,180.

All of the monies raised will be donated to the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation as part of the Cheffins Next Generation Fund, which was created as part of the firm’s bi-centenary year. The donations will distributed as grants to local charity and community projects, with a focus on young people’s mental health throughout the region.

The Cheffins Grassroots Endowed Fund, managed by the Foundation, has been supporting local causes for nearly two decades, making a significant impact across Cambridgeshire.

Sarah Bush, Head of Residential Sales and Lettings at Cheffins comments: “We are so proud of all of our runners who took part in the Cambridge Half Marathon on 9th March and the incredible amount of money which was raised.  This is just a small part of the diverse range of fundraising projects we have planned for our anniversary year, all of which have a focus on supporting the next generation of the region. As we mark this significant milestone in our company’s history, we will be working hard to raise money for charities throughout the region, as we look to celebrate with purpose.”

Michael O’Toole, CEO at the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation said: “The decision to mark Cheffins' 200th anniversary by investing in young people's mental health demonstrates their dedication to looking after future generations. We are immensely grateful for their team's incredible fundraising for the Cheffins Next Generation Fund. The funds raised will enable local charities and community groups to provide even more vital support to young people's mental health and wellbeing.”
