Description

Coping with Spring Lockdown oil on board 40 x 30cm Footnote: “Inspired by the wonders of the Suffolk spring, when all around us we had to endure the COVID lockdowns, it was great nature at its best” Living around Debenham, Suffolk, with my wife Jean, having previously worked in the heart of the Horse racing community of Norfolk, for the past thirty years of my working career. I held the position of Stud Groom of one of the world’s greatest stud farms! ‘Juddmonte Farms’ in the village of Cheveley, where one of my last feats was to foal the great and mighty ‘Frankel’ race horse. Having retired in 2011 now giving my time to the industry I worked with and local charities to which I been getting involved with. As an accomplished painter, I love to work in most mediums, with a passion for working from life in the rural landscape and settings around Suffolk. I’m active member of the Society of Equestrian Artists since 1990, Institute of East Anglian Artists, joined 2016, East Suffolk Plein Painters 2018. Exhibited in major galleries in London, Norwich and the UK.
